Working in partnership with the NHS, our service depots provide excellent facilities for clients, carers and staff. We provide a range of mobility and postural equipment to maximise the independence of our clients, helping them towards meeting their potential.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for using advanced clinical skills in the assessment of adults and children, and in the provision of complex wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories
• Provide guidance and supervision of junior staff in ensuring quality of a clinical service, and working in partnership with the local voluntary sector and statutory services to ensure we deliver our vision of a “chair in a day”
• Be responsible for driving the quality of frontline services to our service users, keeping this initiative as a beacon of our work
• Balance your experience of managing a customer focused service with a clinical caseload
• Use your strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills combined with the ability to manage a varied workload are essential for this exciting position

As the successful candidate you will have:

• A BSc degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
• Current HCPC registration
• Previous experience of working as an Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist at AFC Band 7, or a Band 6 for a minimum of 2 years working with patients with long term or deteriorating medical conditions
• Experience of staff supervision and appraisals
• Previous experience of assessing for wheelchairs and/or postural equipment
• Previous knowledge of the public sector (desirable)
• Current UK driving licence – minimum of 3 years (possible room for negotiation depending on location please contact the team to discuss)
