Clinical Lead (Band 7 or 8a)
With plenty of opportunities for career development, this role will develop your specialist clinical skills with full support and training. Working in partnership with the NHS, our service depots provide excellent facilities for clients, carers and staff. We provide a range of mobility and postural equipment to maximise the independence of our clients, helping them towards meeting their potential.
In this role you will:
- Be responsible for using advanced clinical skills in the assessment of adults and children, and in the provision of complex wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories
- Provide guidance and supervision of junior staff in ensuring quality of a clinical service, and working in partnership with the local voluntary sector and statutory services to ensure we deliver our vision of a “chair in a day”
- Be responsible for driving the quality of frontline services to our service users, keeping this initiative as a beacon of our work
- Balance your experience of managing a customer focused service with a clinical caseload
- Use your strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills combined with the ability to manage a varied workload are essential for this exciting position
As the successful candidate you will have:
- A BSc degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- Current HCPC registration
- Previous experience of working as an Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist at AFC Band 7, or a Band 6 for a minimum of 2 years working with patients with long term or deteriorating medical conditions
- Experience of staff supervision and appraisals
- Previous experience of assessing for wheelchairs and/or postural equipment
- Previous knowledge of the public sector (desirable)
- Current UK driving licence – minimum of 3 years (possible room for negotiation depending on location please contact the team to discuss)
