The wheelchair rehabilitation engineer will be part of an established team of specialist wheelchair therapists, providing assessments for service users of all ages with complex disabilities for postural support, pressure relief, adapted controls to meet their needs. The rehabilitation engineer will work from Wakefield wheelchair service in the specialist clinics, in service users homes, hospitals and HMP establishments as well as the potential to work in neighboring areas. The successful applicant will be required to provide bespoke seating and accessories to maximise an individuals ability to use their wheelchair and improve their independence in their environment.
